Drawing inspiration from iconic punk acts like Blink 182, Neck Deep and The Chats, Rare Breed blends anthemic choruses, driving guitar riffs, and heartfelt lyrics to create a sound that resonates with audiences of all ages. Their music reflects the highs and lows of life, tackling themes of self-discovery, relationships, and overcoming hardship.

Rare Breed's live performances are a force to be reckoned with, characterized by their electrifying stage presence and undeniable chemistry. The band's tight-knit bond translates into an unforgettable experience for their fans, who are known to join in, sing along, and create an atmosphere of pure energy and excitement.

Since their inception, Rare Breed has been steadily building a dedicated following in their local scene and beyond. They have performed at renowned venues, sharing the stage with established acts, and leaving a lasting impression with their captivating performances. Their undeniable talent has earned them praise for their musicianship and songwriting skills.

In early 2023, the band released their debut single "Why Should I?" to great success, gaining over 2000 streams within its first 2 weeks of release. This was followed by a string of 3 sell out gigs in the area. Since then, Rare Breed have been working away at new music and branching out to other scenes, spreading their music thoughout the country.

The lineup consists of 

Alex Graham - Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar. Known for his powerful, emotive vocals and dazzling stage presence, Alex has been acclaimed as one of the most energetic and charismatic frontmen in the scene. He has been praised for his crowd interaction and unhinged stage character, as well as filling out the bands sound with crushing and distorted power chords.

 

Jack Cowell - Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals. Praised for his simple but effective lead guitar melodies, Jack supplies Rare Breed with melodic guitar parts that help the music ascend above the sum of its parts, as well as supplying choir like backing vocals that pull on the audiences heartstrings

Daniel Ottaway - Bass Guitar. Considered to be Rare Breed's secret weapon, Dan's thundering basslines create the backbone for the powerful music the band is known for. Known as one of the most consistent bassists in the scene, his unique playing style is often used as a centre point in the bands music.

Patrick Kilcullen - Drums. Anchoring the band's sound with powerful beats and a relentless drive, Patrick adds an undeniable power and flow to the band's high octane performances. In addition to this, he is also the primary lyricist, providing emotional lyrics surrounding overcoming personal struggle.
